Getting Started
Connect Shopify, launch your first campaign, and ship customer UGC in under 48 hours.
This guide walks through everything you need to ship your first Tryvo-generated UGC video. It's written for the brand operator — the person managing products, campaigns and rewards in the Tryvo dashboard.
Tryvo is in private beta. Some screens may differ slightly from what's described here, and a few features (notably the public marketing site and Klaviyo outreach flow) are still being finalized.
Before you start
You'll need:
- A Shopify store (any plan) with at least a few completed orders
- Admin access to your Klaviyo account (for sending invitations)
- A Stripe account if you plan to pay out cash rewards (discount-only campaigns don't need this)
- A Tryvo workspace — request access from the waitlist during beta
1. Connect Shopify
Install the Tryvo app
From your Tryvo dashboard, click Integrations → Shopify → Connect. You'll be redirected to Shopify to authorize the app.
Approve scopes
Tryvo requests read access to products, orders and customers, plus write access to discount codes (to issue rewards). No write access to orders or customer PII.
Wait for sync
The initial sync runs in the background via Inngest and usually completes within a few minutes. You'll see products and recent orders appear in the dashboard.
2. Pick a product & define a persona
Tryvo generates briefs per product. For each product you want UGC for:
- Go to Products and select the product
- Add a short audience description (e.g. "women, 25–40, runners, sustainability-aware")
- Add a persona for the creator voice (e.g. "honest, slightly funny, no influencer-speak")
- Optionally, paste 1–2 example videos that match the tone you want
The AI uses these inputs to write the brief for each invited customer.
3. Create your first campaign
Choose a trigger
Most brands start with "X days after delivery" — usually 7–14 days, enough time for the customer to actually use the product.
Set the reward
Pick between a discount code (e.g. 20% off next order) or a cash payout via Stripe. Discount-only campaigns are the fastest to launch.
Connect Klaviyo
Tryvo pushes events into Klaviyo, your flows turn them into the actual emails. See Email & Klaviyo for the full event list, template variables, and a step-by-step flow setup.
Launch
Once active, every qualifying order automatically enters the campaign. You'll see invites sent, submissions received and rewards paid out in the dashboard.
4. Review submissions
When a creator uploads a video, the quality gate scores it automatically. You'll only see submissions that pass the gate, sorted by score.
For each submission you can:
- Approve → reward is issued, video is added to your library
- Request edits → creator gets a short message and can resubmit once
- Reject → submission is closed, no reward issued
5. Download & use the UGC
Approved videos live in your Library. From there you can:
- Download the original file
- Copy the creator's name and consent record (for ad platforms)
- Tag videos by product / campaign / use-case
That's it — you should have your first Tryvo UGC in under 48 hours from launching the campaign.
